چکیده
This paper analyzes the relationship between efficiency and innovation activity in Spanish industrial service sectors by introducing a new methodology framework. A model combining principal component analysis (PCA) data envelopment (DEA) is applied order to obtain an score. To achieve more comprehensive evaluation, large dataset included, but number of variables compared with decision-making units (DMUs) may diminish discriminatory power DEA. avoid this effect, we first apply PCA separately input output main factors. We then DEA variables. The PCA–DEA allows us identify 5 efficient out 42. If only were applied, 16 would turn be efficient. shows that improves capability Methodologically, work contributes literature proposing measurement using inputs outputs could different fields. Likewise, for evaluation interpretation sectors, which can taken into account management allocation resources institutions.
